Convergence Group has recruited four new starters in positions across the business as a result of its successful open event held at its Solihull headquarters. Offers have been made to fill vacant and newly created positions in sales, procurement and customer services.
Around 50 potential candidates attended the event on 7 July, several of them having preliminary interviews that evening. They were given a tour of each department and talked to staff about what it was like to work in the rapidly growing business in the data and telecommunications sector. Convergence Group is predicting rapid growth over the next couple of years and wants to give local people a boost in the difficult job market.
Attendees who impressed Convergence Group staff and who have not been successful in securing a job now, will be considered for future positions as they become available.
The event was supported by Solihull Council and local universities including Coventry and Aston.
The company plans to hold open events every few months as it continues to expand and win new business.
