Convergence Group Support Local Samaritans fundraising event
Convergence Group, the Warwick based Virtual Network Operator, has once again shown their continued support to local charities by sponsoring the first tee off at a recent local Samaritans charity fundraising golf event. The golf day, which was held on Monday 14th May at Copt Heath Golf Club in Solihull, was an opportunity for the Samaritans to raise much needed funds for their local Midlands branch.

Samaritans is a registered charity, founded in 1953, which offers 24-hour confidential emotional support to anyone in emotional distress. The service is offered by 17,000 trained volunteers and is entirely dependent on voluntary support. Convergence Group sponsor the event every year, and this year’s event was even more successful than previous years, managing to raise well over £8000.

Commenting on the fundraising event, Claire Davies, Marketing Communications Manager at Convergence Group said,

“Convergence Group is once again extremely pleased to be part of this worthwhile Samaritans event. The day is always guaranteed to be great fun, but it also provides us with a great opportunity to show our support to this local charity.
