Network based services
Convergence Group refers to ‘network based services’ as services deployed on non Internet based, privately owned infrastructure that are not open to public services i.e. Internet.

When customer requirements and system specifications have strict performance parameters guaranteed services have to be provided. To provide these guaranteed services we deploy solutions over infrastructure that are privately owned so it can be controlled.

This control means that critical attributes like latency, packet loss, service availability and Class of Service (CoS) can be managed and enforced.
Such attributes are key in delivering multi-application networks. Convergence Group typically apply, depending on geographical availability, network based services over M.P.L.S, Frame Relay and ATM. A recent addition to these technologies is broadband CoS services.
