This control means that critical attributes like latency, packet loss, service availability and Class of Service (CoS) can be managed and enforced.

Such attributes are key in delivering multi-application, business grade networks. Convergence Group typically apply, depending on geographical availability, network based services over M.P.L.S, Next Generation Ethernet (NGE), and VPN. A more recent addition to these technologies is cost efficient broadband CoS services.

Global network solutions operate the same principle as National solutions although, depending on geographic profile, a hybrid network may be implemented due to reach of services from a single supplier.
